The Non-Governmental Organisation Act: The Non-Governmental Organisation Act. of 2009 is an Act to provide for the co-ordination and registration of non-governmental organisations; establish the Non-Governmental Organisations’ Registration Board and the Zambia Congress of Non-Governmental Organisations; constitute the Council of Non-Governmental Organisations; enhance the transparency, accountability and performance of nongovernmental organisations; and provide for matters connected with or incidental to the foregoing.  ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia, Date of Assent: 26th August, 2009 Click here to download the NGO Act

The Persons with Disabilities Act: The Persons with Disabilities Act No. 6 of 2012 is an Act to continue the existence of the Zambia Agency for Persons with Disabilities (Grant Aided Institution under the Ministry) and  define  its functions and powers; promote the  participation of persons with disabilities with equal opportunities in the civil, political, economic, social and cultural spheres; provide for mainstreaming of disability issues as an integral part of national policies and strategies of sustainable development; incorporate a gender perspective in the promotion of the full enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms by persons with disabilities. ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia, Date of Assent: 21st July, 2012 Click here to download The Persons with disabilities act, 2012
